Green Deposits
Green Deposits is a new savings account designed for individuals, NGOs and companies wanting to contribute towards a greener future. The account is a non-indexed, demand account, which means savers can withdraw their money whenever they want.
One of the fundamental roles of banks is to facilitate the flow of funds from savers to borrowers, and deposits are central to this function. Money deposited into Green Deposits is invested in green projects in line with Arion Bank's Green Financing Framework.

Arion Bank's Green Financing Framework
Arion Bank has published a Green Financing Framework which applies to the Bank’s funding and lending activities. The Framework sets out clearly and transparently the conditions which the Bank’s loans need to meet in order to be considered environmentally friendly. The Framework also specifies the Bank’s governance structure for green loans.
The Green Financing Framework has been assessed by the Norwegian ratings agency Cicero which rated the framework as Medium Green and governance as Good.
