Arion Bank, Stefnir and Vörður recognised for excellence in corporate governance

On 23 August Arion Bank, Vörður and Stefnir were recognised again for their excellent corporate governance and were therefore named as Model companies in corporate governance. The award was presented at a ceremony in Reykjavík which was attended by representatives of the 18 companies receiving an award this year. The awards are presented by Stjórnvísi, the Icelandic Chamber of Commerce, SA Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise, Nasdaq Iceland.

Birna Hlín Káradóttir, Chief Operating Officer, and Haraldur Guðni Eiðsson, head of Communications, accepted the award on behalf of Arion Bank, Hrefna Ösp Sigfinnsdóttir, board member, on behalf of Stefnir and Guðbjörg Heiða Guðmundsdóttir, CEO, and Benedikt Olgeirsson, board member, on behalf of Vörður.
