A new and ex­cit­ing de­vel­op­ment at Blikas­taða­land

A new and exciting residential area at Blikastaðaland is now in its first detailed planning phase. The current planning framework provides for the construction of up to 1,260 apartments, along with amenities, a primary school, and a preschool.

The planning approach emphasizes the integration of the built environment and the natural environment, blue-green stormwater solutions, and design that enhances the quality of life for residents and the surrounding community.

Blikastaðaland is owned by Arion Bank through the company Blikastaðaland ehf. and is being developed in close co-operation with the Municipality of Mosfellsbær. An agreement with the municipality stipulates that Blikastaðaland ehf. will participate in the development of the area’s infrastructure.
