Arion Bank and Vörður sign deal with Keflavík Football Club

Arion Bank and Vörður have signed a partnership agreement with Keflavík Football Club. With this agreement Arion aims to provide strong backing for sporting activities in the Suðurnes region. This comes after Arion Bank and Vörður recently opened a new branch at Aðaltorg in Reykjanesbær on 5 May.

Under the agreement Arion Bank logo will be displayed on the kits of Keflavík’s senior teams, and both Arion Bank and Vörður will also have branding at the club’s football ground.

“We look forward to commencing our partnership with Keflavík Football Club and to becoming more visible participants in the dynamic community in Suðurnes,” says Einar Hannesson, Regional Manager for Retail Banking at the Suðurnes branch of Arion Bank.

Böðvar Jónsson, Chairman of Keflavík Football Club, says the agreement is of great importance for the club. “This kind of support is hugely important for the continued development and ambition in our sporting activities.”

Keflavík’s men’s team secured promotion to the top-tier Besta deildin last season and will therefore compete among the top teams in the country this summer. The women’s team plays in the second-tier Lengjudeild.
