Record Participation in Arion Bank and Dyngja’s Investment Competition

In March, we held our annual investment competition in partnership with Dyngja. This time around, the competition was organized in conjunction with our Women Invest initiative and was exclusively open to women.

Participation reached new record levels. Interest was clearly very strong, with a total of 1,720 women taking part in the competition. All participants started with ISK 10 million and were given one month to grow this capital by investing in shares and funds.

Market conditions during the period were challenging, and many participants found the going tough. One competitor, however, stood out head and shoulders above the rest: Alexandra Chernyshova, who achieved a return of +25.38%. Máney Alda Rúnarsdóttir placed second with a return of +8.67%, while Ingibjörg Leópoldsdóttir came third with a return of +7.86%. More than one hundred women generated a profit on their investments, performing extremely well.

This marks the fifth time we have held an investment competition of this kind via the Dyngja app. We are delighted with this fruitful collaboration with Dyngja and look forward to repeating the initiative. At the same time, we extend our sincere congratulations to the winners on their outstanding results.
