Arion Bank acquired Vörður in 2016 and merged it with Okkar Life Insurance in 2017. Vörður’s offices are located at Arion Bank’s headquarters, and the company’s services are accessible through the Arion app and in the shared branches of Arion Bank and Vörður.
Stefnir hf. is a well‑established Icelandic asset management company founded in 1996. The company’s role is to manage client assets with their interests as the guiding principle. For decades, Stefnir has been at the forefront of Icelandic asset management firms when it comes to product development in fund management.
The company’s funds invest both domestically and internationally in equity and bond markets as well as in the money market. Stefnir operates from Arion Bank’s headquarters.

Landey ehf. is a real estate development company owned by Arion Bank hf. Since its establishment in 2009, Landey has been involved in the ownership of various properties and development projects.
The company’s current assets consist of plots and real estate at Blikastaðaland and at Þrastarhöfði in Mosfellsbær. Landey’s objective is to increase the value of its assets through the development and construction of these areas.
Leiguskjól ehf. is a fintech company that offers its customers rental guarantees from Arion Bank, as well as other value‑adding services, and also operates the rental platform www.myigloo.is. Arion Bank owns a 51% stake in Leiguskjól ehf.
Leiguskjól is an example of a partner company that the bank has chosen to collaborate with, supporting the bank’s services. Leiguskjól participated in the Startup Reykjavík accelerator in 2018, which marked the beginning of the bank’s investment in the company when it acquired a 6% stake. In 2019, the bank entered into a partnership agreement with the company and increased its investment, and the bank now owns a 51% share.
