Kvistabær produces tree seedlings for forestry and serves companies involved in carbon offsetting, forestry associations, and public institutions. It is rewarding to know that our products are not only participating in the fight against climate threats but also beautifying our environment.

All our production is sold in advance as we work based on orders. There is high demand, and we are doing our best to meet it by expanding our operations. We are building a new and more technologically advanced greenhouse that will make the work much easier. This is an investment and modernization that needs to happen. Increased technology is also creating a better working environment, which is an important part of ensuring sustainable operations.
Kvistabær is a family business. We, the married couple, own it together with Aldís's parents, and there is a very natural division of responsibilities between us. Aldís is the horticulturist and manages our production. Guðmundur is responsible for the financial side and sales matters, Anna Dóra, Aldís's mother, handles personnel matters, and her father Sigurður has overseen the expansion.
Everything takes time in forest plant production. Trees don't grow in a month, and an investment like this will need time to pay off. However, we feel that the interest and demand are such that this is a journey that will pay off, both as a solid business and even more so as a participant in making the world better. That would be quite an achievement.

Success can take many forms. Companies have different and diverse goals, but our role is to help clients achieve the results they are aiming for.
