Delays in fund transfers to Landsbankinn at the weekend

At the weekend Landsbankinn will be introducing a new computer system. Work will start on the afternoon of Friday 17 November and is expected to be completed on Monday 20 November. While the system is being installed, delays can be expected when transferring funds to Landsbankinn.

How will this affect customers of Arion Bank?

  • Fund transfers made at the weekend from accounts at Arion Bank into accounts at Landsbankinn will not appear in bank statements immediately but only once the system has been fully installed, i.e. on Sunday evening or Monday morning.
  • Fund transfers from Landsbankinn into accounts at Arion Bank will appear as normal in statements in the Arion app and the online bank. The transactions will not appear in the statements of the payer until the installation of the new system has been completed.

What should I do if I encounter any problems because of this?

The installation of a new computer system at Landsbankinn is not expected to have any further impact on customers of Arion Bank. However, specialists will be on duty at the Call Center just in case between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
