Arion is Euromoney’s bank of the year

The financial publication Euromoney has named Arion as Iceland’s bank of the year for 2025, the second year in a row the Bank has won this award. In explaining its decision, Euromoney noted that Arion had consolidated its position as the country’s leading bank in terms of digital innovation, strategic success and solid financial results.
Euromoney pointed out that the Arion app had yet again been voted the best banking app in Iceland by banking customers. Euromoney also looked at how Arion, in close partnership with its subsidiaries Vörður and Stefnir, had implemented its strategy by offering its customers a highly diverse range of financial services, the majority of which are available in the Arion app.
Euromoney highlighted the Bank’s good profitability, operating efficiency and growth at Vörður, which has outpaced the growth rate on the domestic insurance market. Euromoney also cited the results achieved on the capital markets, as Arion has in recent years had the largest market share on the domestic equities market and last year was also the leading entity on the Icelandic fixed income market.
