Euromoney selects Arion Bank as the best investment bank in Iceland

The international financial magazine Euromoney has selected Arion Bank as the best investment bank in Iceland in 2016. In its reasoning, Euromoney takes account of the fact that over the past year, Arion Bank worked systematically on developing the Icelandic stock market by listing Eik, Reitir and Síminn on the Main List of Nasdaq Iceland. It also reveals that the Bank has a good share in the equities, bonds and foreign exchange trading market.

In addition, Euromoney takes account of the fact that Arion Bank has been active in assisting customers with bond issues and thereby played an active role in the development of the bond market. In this context, mention may be made of the bond issuance of Landsvirkjun, Garðabær municipality, Eik and Reitir in 2015.

Iða Brá Benediktsdóttir, Managing Director of Investment Banking, accepted the award on behalf of Arion Bank.
