Temporary closure of two branches of Arion Bank in Reykjavík area – branches at Bíldshöfði, Smárinn and digital branch at Hagatorg remain open

As a precaution, only three of the Bank‘s five branches in the Reykjavík area will remain open at any one time. Our priority is the safety of our customers and employees and ensuring that we can continue to service our customers, which is why we have taken these measures.
Customers who need to visit one of the branches can visit Bíldshöfði in Reykjavík, Smárinn í Kópavogur and the digital branch at Hagatorg in Reykjavík. The branches at Borgartún 18 and the Kringlan shopping mall will close temporarily but the self-service machines at the branches can still be used to make withdrawals, deposits and to perform a range of other banking services.
Customers are also reminded of our digital service channels such as the Arion app and online banking and we would like to ask them to limit visits to our branches as much as possible. It is also possible to call the Bank’s Call Centre on 444 7000 and contact us via webchat at www.arionbanki.is and by e-mail at arionbanki@arionbanki.is. Financial advisory services are now provided by phone and not at the branches. You can book an appointment on the Bank’s website.
Customers who expect to face difficulties in making mortgage repayments due to Covid-19 and who intend to make use of the payment holiday offered by the Bank should refer to the Bank’s website for further details. They can also contact the Bank on greidsluhle@arionbanki.is.
We would also like to remind customers of the safety and convenience of contactless payment options, such as smart phones, payment cards or watches.
