Collect rent

When applying for the rent collection service, you must first make a claim service agreement, sign the agreement electronically or bring a signed original copy of the agreement to your local branch. You also need to complete an application for rent collection and send it to us by e-mail to fyrirtaeki@arionbanki.is. You can also make any changes to the rent on the same form, including information on the tenant, the rent amount and whether the rent is linked to a price index. The rent collection form can be found below.

Please note that all changes to the service must be notified before the 20th of each month.

What is included in the service?

  • Collect rent by setting up direct debit in any bank. Suitable for all types of landlords. Collect other costs or separate fees in the same payment slip, e.g. for heating or electricity.
  • Payment slips and statements.
  • The landlord decides the due date and final due date.
  • You can also select the default charges and whether penalty interest applies. Paid payment slips are transferred to the landlord's account at the Bank.
  • Lists of outstanding debts, payments and names can be obtained in Online Banking at any time.
  • The cost of this service is as specified in the Bank’s fee list.
