Select the stock or fund you want to buy, the trade will be processed, and the asset will then appear in your securities portfolio.
In the Arion app, you can monitor your stocks as well as view transaction history and returns. You can trade shares in all companies listed on the Main Market and First North.
A 25% discount on fees is provided for stock transactions executed in the app or online banking.

With Act No. 115/2021 on Markets for Financial Instruments, the European Union's Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) was incorporated into Icelandic law. The aim of the legislation is, among other things, to ensure transparency, strengthen investor protection, and increase investor confidence.
The law changed various important rules regarding how securities transactions should be conducted. Extensive changes are proposed regarding the requirements for regulated markets, multilateral trading facilities, and investment firms. Among other things, there are increased requirements for transparency, investor protection and business practices, for boards, governance, the organisation of investment firms and regulated markets.
